This really has been a pretty talky chapter, huh? That won't really be changing much, but pretty happy with where the chapter goes from this point. We're a third of the way through now.
I picture Cynthia at being pretty good at reading people and getting under their skin accordingly. That isn't a skill we've seen much to this point, but we get kind of a demonstration of that here.

Leave it to Hearst to make an agitator agitated. Sometimes when a cat backs a mouse into a corner he fails to realize that the mouse is actually a rat and can chew through the cat's claws. Have you ever seen Willard? The cat just had to fall into that giant wave or rats. Sad, but you can imagine why the cat was running from the start and not trying to eat them. Another rat joke, involves a wet dog that turns out not to be a dog, but that's another thing.
