And now back to your regularly scheduled Black Princess.
I was actually a little uncertain for awhile as to whether I wanted to have Raymond talk to Sareena directly in this chapter, or wait until the next one. Think I can go ahead and safely say, since it's coming up soon, that the next one starts out later this same night, so it wouldn't have been too out of place or anything for him to put it off for at least a little bit.
But no, we have Raymond here now. One thing I'm kind of happy with for this sequence - kind of had to pad the chapter out a bit with stuff after the White Noise thing, but between the scripts I've written and the way the pages are coming out I'm pretty happy with the end results of that. Think it all blends pretty well together in getting out all of the various information we'll need to in moving forward, with only one real loose end that the next chapter will handle in pretty short order.
Getting back to the page itself, though. This is the last Misty appears in this chapter, so that should tell you just how close to wrapping this up we are, and we get the start of a conversation that'll run us through the next few pages. As I said on a previous one, do kind of wish I'd worked Misty into this chapter a little more than I have, but not to worry, they're on more equal footing in the next one.
I was very happy with the orb thing, actually. I drew this after getting my tablet back and was still pretty busy with school, so it was nice to have a way to trim down the head count however we could. Martin's choice in the script not mine, just sometimes it's nice how it all works out.
Though I will admit, I don't think I got Raymond's ball as nicely as Abe did. Martin's colors helped quite a bit, especially in the third panel, but had trouble making it quite as... I dunno, ecto-plasmy as he did.
