This page, combined with WaR's semi-matching one yesterday, addresses one problem I've really been wanting to tie up for awhile now - Sareena's characterization in WaR's prologue.
It was kind of unavoidable - outside of having her show direct sympathy for Alex which would've just been out of place, there wasn't really much of a choice but to have her come off as villainous there given her role in the story. As such, been wanting to get the two together to try and explain that away to a degree, since it's been a cloud hanging over BP for awhile in my view.
Anyway, page itself. Do wish Abe'd been available for it, so we could get the two different versions thing going on properly, but at least the only overlap's in the first few panels instead of taking up the whole page like back in a page or two of chapter six.
Not a whole lot to say outside of that, but next page is the last of the chapter and will continue this conversation. We'll be having a week after that of some bonus content that we're hoping everyone will enjoy, then we'll move into chapter eight, Ghosts in the Attic, which has a new cover style very distinct from the other comics that we're hoping goes over well.
Yeah, this would've worked out a lot better had Abe been the artist, but what can we do? I did try to change up the angles a bit, in particular the first panel, but not much to say on it.
I think I've gotten better at drawing Sareena, oddly enough. She feels a little more natural to me. Though maybe that's because I haven't had any pages by Abe lately to compare to. Either way, happy with how she looks in this page.
