Hey, who all remembers Stephanie Blik? Yeah, she was in like two pages over 150 of them ago, so wouldn't blame you if you don't. We'll be seeing her again in just a few pages, but not in any big capacity just yet. At least Blik being the family's proper last name has come up since then, I guess. Is that.

Think this is also the first time we've had it acknowledged that Misty has two moms since the first page to boot. And we actually get to see them! Yeah, these two were actually kind of intended to show up before now, but early ideas with them were kind of unnecessary and so trimmed to get some more story-important stuff in. We'll be seeing them soon enough, but not quite as soon as we'll next be seeing Stephanie.

One thing I really tried to do throughout this scene is to try and show Sareena and Misty being friends with their boss, without really having to explicitly show it or anything. I do like the back-and-forth through this segment as a result, particularly all of Cynthia's snark, though I don't quite think they're likely to do much hanging out with her outside of work or anything. Hearst isn't quite the kind of person for that even if she is someone's friend, Flower aside.

I didn't remember Stephanie Blik myself. Had to ask Martin if we'd seen her before. I was much more excited about the Smid-Mothers, really. The pair of them were characters I'd been looking forward to for some time. Was very happy to finally get to draw them. Wonder what sort of embarrassing things they're saying about their daughter. ^^

Isn't too much else to say here... I like drawing Hearst quite a bit, moreso in her suit than the outfit she was wearing in the last one.

So that's what Misty's parents look like, very interesting, just one quick question, were they designed with the Tomboy and Girly Girl trope in mind?

Will need Adam to speak for their designs since that was all him, but as characters, in part. I see them having common interests and both embrace parts of their femininity, but Stacy - the blond one who is the one Misty's biologically related to - is a bit more gentle and girly than the other, Angie, who is more outspoken and not quite as worried about how she comes off to people. She certainly isn't actively opposed to wearing skirts or anything if she's expected to, but it's not what she'd immediately go for.
