I was just about to do this personal antecdote thing about how I drew this on the night before my first class and felt bitter about it until a heart-to-heart with Martin made all my negative feelings about BP vanish and frame it as a letter to Princess Celestia, but I'm sure everybody's heard enough of my complaining by now.
Which is a problem, since I just took a second glance at this page and realized I don't have much to say on it. .... Still like that sweater, and you have to admire how Sareena's practically bullying Laura into joining them for ghost-hunting.
If I was Laura, I'd say away. I lie awake at night afraid Slenderman's going to open the door of my bedroom. I can't imagine how badly seeing a ghost would fuck me up.
Heh. Yeah, I kind of wanted to portray Laura as being naturally quite put off and terrified by the unusual situation she's found herself in. Where will it go from here? Stay tuned to find out.
Outside of that, we get a bit more of a proper introduction to her here and all that. Do want the comic to be able to be followed just fine if you don't read WaR and vice-versa, just with some perks to ready both, so was important to kind of give a basic look at her character here between how she acts, the fact that she's in high school, her name of course, that sort of thing. WaR hasn't gone too far into the specifics of her character yet beyond that, though it will be doing so fairly soon, so not a whole lot being missed about Ropun at this point if you don't read it.
Her stutter seems a lot worse than usual and it's going to be amusing when they find out the find out her friend is Alex.
Heh. Yeah, idea kind of is that her stutter only really amounts to being a side effect of being a very nervous person. Given the situation, she's moreso than usual here.
