Well, this is new ground for us.
Does feel a little odd here, having a Black Princess page that doesn't feature Sareena directly but does have Alex, while Sareena still has most of the dialogue in it. At least Misty's still in it.
Pretty happy with this one, but not too much to say about it. This segment actually doesn't go on as long as it sort of felt like in writing it, but I think that kind of works to its favor, given it's supposed to be something of a routine thing with Sareena and Misty. Plus the visuals might get old if you spend too long with them.
Still, not done with it just yet. Hope everyone enjoys moving forward.
Yeah, this was a very different sequence, and really enjoyed how it went. I was worried that Sareena not being visible for most of it might be confusing, but think it came out very nicely.
There was some discussion between me and Martin how old-timey to make the police officer's uniform. It's meant to be from the 1940s, but now realize this is probably more in tune with someone from the 1890s or so. Problem is that the other old-timey-cop picture we were considering looked slightly too modern, to the point you could reasonably see a policeman wearing it. Went with this because ultimately, there was no way to mistake someone in these clothes for a recent death.
Think my favorite touch is that mini-panel with a close-up of the cop's wedding band. Very minor addition but think it adds a lot to this guy's story.
Though I do sorta regret giving him a mustache. I can't draw it to not look cartoony and sorta find it distracting.
If this cop has been dead for over 50 years why has taken so long for his haunting to be brought to notice?
There've probably been some murmurings about it for a long, long time, but the only thing someone can take in of it without magically intervening like Sareena is the horn then him walking around carrying a lantern before running off. In itself, it's probably fairly easy to rationalize that, especially in combination with just how many supposed haunted places there are out there.
