And here we are, keeping everyone in suspense. Sareena will be answering that question come Tuesday, don't worry. Speaking of, during this whole sequence I should have made BP's word balloons a bit darker, because they still look pretty much white against all of the darkness. Something to remember for the future, I guess.
Anyway, yeah. This writes out Raymond for awhile. We'll likely see him again in chapter ten along with Sareena's other siblings, but we'll come back to that later. Is a little rude of Raymond to just up and take off without saying bye to his sister but... Yeah, this really isn't supposed to be something too out of character for him. Don't worry though, he'll probably call in the next day or two or something so not entirely leaving his sister hanging on that.
I think I was under the impression Laura had a line in the second panel, so I left her mouth open, then when I did the dialog and found out she was quiet in that one I forgot to close it again. You could argue she's awed by Misty's job description, but it looks more like she just zoned out or something.
That happens sometimes when I draw characters, whether I wrote the script or not. Usually it doesn't bug me too much (especially when the opposite happens and a character is talking with their mouth closed) but something about the vacant expression on Laura just strikes me as pretty funny. ^^
Also now that I look her breasts are really massive in that shot. I mean, Martin told me going in she was one of the more stacked characters, but damn....
.... Yeah, I really don't have much to say on this page's content, it seems. Raymond's ball is pretty simple for me to draw- think if anything it's more trouble for Martin to color. I do like Misty's job description though, does sound pretty awesome. ^^
Laura seems prone to overreacting in the third panel that's about the same response she had when Alex said hi to her when they first met.
Heh, good point. I can see Laura as tending to sort of over-respond to a lot of things - probably to be expected given her acting method. We'll be seeing that soon, incidentally.
