And here marks the end of the night coloring for the time being. Always kind of weird first going back to normal colors after doing pages with that for awhile, everything looks kind of overly vibrant and bright.
So yeah, we're coming up on the end of the chapter then! Still another couple of weeks left to go for the chapter, but we're on the home stretch. Hoping everyone likes where things go from here, though most of it's set up for things down the line. This is page 197, and we'll be getting something kind of big-ish for 200, so stick around for that.
Also, the silhouette here's only really for dramatic effect. While we don't really show outright who it is, supposed to be pretty obvious over the next few pages that it's Gwendolyn.
Speaking of that silhouette, I didn't know how to do the lay-out of that panel, so Martin had to storyboard it for me. Very different angle than normal, but think it came out very nicely. Very ominous.
But yeah, Misty gets to show off how her power is designed to piss off ninjas. ^^ Nice to see her get some use out of it- one of those passive abilities that doesn't sound like much but adds up in the long-run.
Heh... I just realized though- increased awareness of everyone watching her probably means she's extreme susceptible to stage fright.
Is it the fact that Gwendolyn is an undead vampire what's messing with Misty's powers or is something else going on?
Her being undead is doing it, right.
