First off, that fifth panel... Yeah, that I was kind of iffy on, since what exactly it's setting up is still a long ways off. And for that matter, that has more to do with WaR than it does BP, though it will involve both comics. The reason it's shown up now is just to contrast it with our desert watcher.
Anyway, besides Candice, we're also back to Marina and Jason! They're kind of means to an end for this desert thing here, but it is nice getting back to them. Even if their half of the chapter is dialogue-free, has still been fun kind of writing them interacting through their actions, and I'm hoping everyone will enjoy their end of the chapter.
Not a whole lot to say outside of that, but hope everyone enjoys. Be sure to swing by Saturday for a bonus update for the start of the month!
Heh... Candice is wearing all blue. We should totally arrange it so she and Grant play some kind of Superhero MMO online together or something.
But yeah, not only do we see these characters again, but also Eighth Sin HQ. Not bad, eh? Also the desert, which we haven't seen since Chapter 2, but eh. Nothing too special in that end. Also, really awkward, failed POV shot. Maybe I should experiment with those a little more.
Heh.... Still, curious where this is gonna go, folks? Both scenarios have been pretty fun for me so far; the situation on the left half of the screen in particular is nice. First long sequence we've tried with zero dialog. I love the effect so much I almost wanna do a Blues mini-chapter about it. Turning out excellent so far thanks to Martin's scripts. ^^
That fifth panel is really confusing, wonder what Marina and Jason are doing together and it will be interesting to see Laura's reaction to Candice's power.
I see Jason and Marina as being kind of really tense friends. Their history will probably be gone into more detail down the line, but I'd say on a certain level they do like each other a good bit.
As for Laura's reaction to that, we'll be seeing that in a few pages. That's actually the next page to be drawn as it stands, most of the way done already.
