Woo, back to Jason and Marena! I'm pretty happy with this one, though there isn't really a whole lot going on with it. The next page will have this subplot starting to become more dynamic, though.
So, yeah. Not a whole lot to say on this one as per the usual with these, but I do hope everyone enjoys. Is neat getting to show off another creature for Marina to call on; let's go with this one being named Dug. He's only really in this page and the next one for now, but I like the design Adam whipped up for him and he might show up again down the line.
Incidentally, something I meant to mention a couple of pages ago but forgot to bring up; for any Ropun fans out there, while Laura won't be appearing again in this chapter, she'll both be in the next BP one and be a major focus of the next WaR one. Just something to keep in mind.
Yeah, Dug's design was really fun. The only order was that it resemble the creatures that Abe gave her way back in Chapter 2, except as a mole or a dog. I tried to get as close to Abe's design as I could with it and think it came out pretty good.
The next page is one I was dreading, but impressed with how it came out. That said, I think it would've looked way better if drawn by Abe. Actually, screw that, this entire sequence would've looked better by Abe. He had this real knack for conveying a lot of personality without any dialog.
Don't be so hard on yourself Adam you're doing a great job. So did Marina summon Dug to dig through the sand dune so they wouldn't have to find a way around it?
Nah, they're going under it; what they're looking for is underground.
