Woo, Erac Day! He's taken his time about debuting, hasn't he? At least he's finally here... though he isn't really in that many pages in this chapter. Guess there's a reason the mystery woman's the villain of choice for the cover for this chapter.
Still, I've had a lot of fun writing for him so far. We'll see a bit of that come next week, but for now, we just get this little taste. We also get to see Sareena show her walking through walls again. Yeah, the spellbook thing for her made it pretty easy to remember certain abilities of hers and how to chain them together like is done here. Look forward to more sequences using combinations like that then in future fight scenes, I imagine.
Also, contrary to opinions, Misty isn't karate-chopping the height out of that guy in the penultimate panel.
Enjoyed doing Erac Day's sequence here; a lot of dialog so a good excuse for me to by lazy. Plus I was really surprised at how Day's personality came out. Given the big air of mystery he cultivated, wasn't sure what to expect but wound up very pleased. ^^
I guess I'm just disappointed, if anything, that his appearance is really short (shorter than me or Martin thought, really), and we don't get a good look at that mask I loved putting on him. Still, enjoyed the next few pages.
Y'know, when I started typing, I was really depressed; felt discouraged when it came to my art, but now feel a lot better. Lemme work on something I had planned for Martin's birthday. Last year.
Talking with his back to the screen, interesting and he doesn't seem bothered at all by their presence.
Heh. Yeah, the back to the camera thing... I'm not sure what inspired me to go that route with it, but I'm pretty happy with how it works out.
