Hey, back to this plot! We'll be getting some more proper follow up on it very soon, I promise. Trust me, all of this stuff has been going somewhere.
This is all we see of Gwen, or her associates, for this chapter, though. The last page, coming up on Saturday, will again be changing focus elsewhere.
This page is actually sort of confusing from a timeline perspective, since it seems to be happening much later in the evening than the one after it. Doesn't really matter that much though; just assume this one takes place later and there's a flashback for the next page. I just thought it'd make for a better chapter ending than this one does.
Not to say I'm not happy with the page, mind you. Actually very much so, for a good few reasons. Hope our readers enjoy too, and be sure to come back for the end of the chapter on Saturday!
Really don't have much to say about this piece.... The artwork was different and for for me, but not too much to say about what's going on in this one. Did enjoy the first two panels especially; really does look like she's being pretty gruesome about the whole thing.
I really don't like how Gwen's outfit looks on her when she's human, hence why I worked to cover her with the cloak when she walks inside.
Me and Martin discussed a few different fonts for the mysterious purple voice. Think the one we settled on was called "Bloodsucker." We had another one in mind but at the last second, turned out that one had no punctuation signs, weirdly enough.
Okay this page is just spooky, so when are we going to find out who the mysterious purple voice belongs to? and what are the rules for vampire turning in this universe?
We'll see the source of that fairly soon. As for how they turn, the idea is sort of that they can churn up kind of an acid - like the substance Moon was covered in back in chapter four after she was attacked - that when enough of it is ingested turns you.
