I wonder if whatever's going on has something to do with Nenoh. It sure seems like it's barely being brought up, huh?
Heh. Yeah, I'm sure everyone can see why that was scribbled on the blackboard in the year three preview. A lot of this chapter revolves around that particular word. It'll be awhile before we really get much of an explanation on that, though.
Instead, we get more Cynthia! Yeah, Hearst is a pretty fun character to write for, and I kind of like how I've been handling her so far of her being consistent in showing up and getting kind of a slight build each time we do. This is all we see of her for this chapter though; I'm not sure if she'll be in the next one or not, though I will say she'll be fairly prominent in the twelfth one.
Not too much to say here myself, though did have a lot of fun with the office. ^^ When I did the drinking-bird on Flowers' desk, Martin pointed out how it sorta looks like it's perched on Misty's head.
I've been playing a lot of Skyrim lately.... One thing I really like about the houses in the game are those weapon-plaques that let you display your swag (Currently living in Proudspire Manor; once I defeat the Stormcloak rebellion, I intend to buy that one awesome-ass house in Windhelm). I figured Hearst couldn't carry her whip around everywhere if she was working in a school, hence I had her mount it on the wall. That way it can really psyche out the kids who get sent to see her.
Not to mention that Newton's Cradle is still there. That thing was the biggest pain to draw and prep for coloring, and it's in so many Goddamn panels....
I think this is the first time I've seen a drinking-bird in a comic, and this is getting interesting.
