Woo, three years of The Black Princess! It's a good time for it really, what with the tenth chapter coming up on wrapping up. Don't worry, that blurred figure from the year three preview will be revealed very soon. It's being missed by a few weeks, not by months and months like Arc over in Wright as Rayne.
It's probably pretty easy to guess what the desert part of this is hinting at, but the flag and the words... We'll get some insight into that shortly. It bares mentioning what that's setting up certainly isn't getting its full payoff within the next year, since that'll be pretty much a full on story arc, but it'll be tying into a lot of what's to come. Though the characters it's tied into will actually show up in Wright as Rayne first.
Yeah. Admittedly I've felt a little iffy about BP's quality at times, since it seems like I could've paced it better, but it feels like everything's falling into place now and I'm very optimistic about the future. I hope everyone keeps reading, and we will see you for year four!
BP does feel like it took a bit of time to get its footing, but think it's fairly solid now.
I do really love these preview images we do for the anniversaries. I just love when the story's allowed to go "Dun-Dun-DUNNNN!" like that (hence why I do it all the time in Blues). The imagery on this is very minimalist but also pretty creepy at the same time. Minimalist thing being good since this last week's been a hassle for me and haven't had time to draw much. Been working on a research proposal for class and also getting my car fixed... yeah, been a busy week.
Clearing up now, hopefully... I felt really lazy just doing the flag so I threw in the dagger too. Also, because of aforementioned feeling of laziness, counted and made sure the flag had exactly 13 stripes. .... Didn't do the same for the stars because well, c'mon, I'm not a psycho.
Sometimes less is more, and it definitely is here, what's happening for Blues anniversary this year?
I've been wondering that myself. Depends on what does/doesn't go up by April....
