Woo, Rebus! Yeah, we'll be getting three of these here on BP - and an extra two on WaR, one of which has already gone up - during this break. The next one of these'll be up on Saturday, don't forget.
Speaking of WaR, yeah, don't worry about the page number on this, I'm just labeling them per the number on the file and will be jumping around and posting some different ones. I won't be posting everything we have sitting on that front for the time being, we'll come back to that another time.
Not sure how much I have to say on this itself though, not really having had anything to do it being made. I do like how it came out, though. I should try and do something sometime with some random monsters, the ones Marina summons are really the only clearly not human or human-ish things we've seen get all that much focus so far. There are a few planned for down the line but still, something I'd like to work with on occasion.
I always really do like the designs Abe comes up with. This thing is neat; it's like the symbiotes from Spider-Man crossed with The Falmer from Skyrim. Really could see this thing skulking around and killing some people in dark allies.
Again though, not much to say. Come to think on it from Martin's comments, it's weird we don't do much with outright monsters in the series. Granted, WaR and Blues are superhero books and that's sorta not their angle, but monsters can be a lot of fun artistically and narratively.
Humans can be monsters too, like Martina and Franklin if he is a human, and Moon may be a vampire but I don't see her as being a monster in the evil sense of the word.
True, though human monsters don't allow for as much in the way of crazy, screwed-up visuals.
