And speaking of weird ways to open up a chapter...
Yeah, as Martin said, a lot of this chapter is paying homage to Misfile, and we kick off with that right away. Eheh... Not a lot for me to say on it given I don't read the comic and... heh... Think that might be a trend on this chapter.
Anyway, the penultimate page was a departure from the comfort zone for us, and was really fun. It's actually a real basketball arena in Atlanta called Philips Arena, home of the Atlanta Hawks. Naturally we tried hard to make it look right here.
I'd say it was harder than it looks, but in retrospect it didn't really come out that good. Plus... Heh... Next page was way harder.
Look closely at those black panels, there actually is art behind most of those. They're just blacked out for stylistic effect here, plus the Misfile parallel.
Yeah, those last couple of panels also relate tot hat and a subplot of the chapter, which relates to that bit on the cover about the NBA game. We will get more into that on the next page which as Adam mentioned was a very complicated one.
Yeah, pretty simple page, not a whole lot of note to say on this one I don't think. Still, I'm happy with how it came out and I hope everybody enjoys.
Very interesting way of starting a chapter, cool effect in the first four panels.
Glad you like, was an interesting thing to play around.
