Damn, starting to realize how long it's been that I've set this up myself. ^^ But yeah, back to the stadium.

I dunno about you guys, but I really, really love this side of the plot. When Martin writes scripts for the comic, I just wait eagerly for the pages that take place at the stadium, even knowing the amount of hard work that's needed for those page. It's worth it just because I just love this whole sequence thus far. ^^ Genuinely enjoy reading those scripts that much.

So yeah, more of the massive head count. Originally all the people were supposed to still be in their seats at the game, but I suggested to Martin to have the crowd herded to the center of the stadium since I think that'd make sense for taking hostages. You'd want them all grouped together rather than spread out along the walls close to the exit, right?

A few more cameos here, especially if you're a fan of webcomics. That one member of Manslaughter's group is based off Susan, the militant feminist from El Goonish Shive. Aside from an Ash expy, the other figures in the final panel are based off Jason/Sonja from Wotch, Ace from Eerie Cuties, and Elliot/Ellen from El Goonish Shive. Just try to keep the gag going.

Also, felt really weird nobody in Alex's hometown, where logically he'd be at his most popular, wears those shirts. Figured it was time to change that. ^^ Jason's a comic geek in his own series so made sense.

Yeah, I've been really happy with how these pages have been coming out myself. Really eager to get to some of the stuff later on in this storyline in particular, hoping all of that will go over well because I've really been enjoying writing it.

Incidentally, after this page we've started moving toward having more rounded cars, which've been looking better than the square ones we've been seeing for so long; already been a little bit of that in WaR in the background of pages since WaR's got a bit less of a backlog presently than BP does.

Heh, figured I'd have a lot to say but sort of blanking on much in the way of specifics for this particular page, think Adam pretty well covered most of it. Do hope everybody enjoys, though!
