Pfft.... Who gives a shit about Sareena losing consciousness in the middle of a harrowing fight with a racist, sexist pretty-boy? Hearst being sick in bed? Now that's drama!
In all seriousness, I genuinely like her pages probably more than any others in the chapter. We got the Sareena and Misty vs. Brick stuff, the stadium and hostages, and also Hearst in bed, and the last is probably my favorite to work with. The low head count really lets us experiment and work on backgrounds, plus she's just kind of neat to draw. And honestly, characters doing everyday, normal things are something we have surprisingly little practice with. Going to the fridge for a beer? Uncharted territory.
Again, loved doing the background here, trying to get a kind of sense of her personality. Likewise, her design helps a good deal for that too. ^^ Hope you folks enjoy.
Yeah, like I said on the last one, the Sareena thing's being stalled out until the 300th page. Not long to that, think this is 298.
I'm really happy with this whole Cynthia sequence myself. Kind of the intention of it's so show a bit more of what she's like in her own time, how despite being very professional and on-the-ball at work her personal life is kind of a mess. We've seen some signs of that before, like the stuff with her and Raymond, but it is something I really like to explore more and more and that we'll certainly be coming back to a lot as it goes.
Anyone take issue with how jumpy this chapter is? Know it hasn't really had a point where it's held on a scene for very long. Personally I find it pretty refreshing, but I could see where it could be kind of disorienting to read.
I don't mind just about every series I've read or watched does stuff like that, and it looks like Flower is a nickname that caught on since it looks like everybody calls her that.
