Again, yeah, you ever stop and think about this? All the stuff Alex is horrified about, having to only talk to Xandy over the phone, cutting off so many contacts, not having the option of plowing Laura, everything he's angsting over in WaR? Sareena's the cause of it.
It's always sort of been there, but there are plans to bring that fact out in the open for the future, which is something I'm really in favor of. I find it's really fascinating writing to just have this nice, unassuming and friendly person and suddenly be reminded that she's actually capable of some pretty nasty things. Hell, with the dialog showing she doesn't even really feel THAT bad about it, it establishes that Sareena is more or less a villain protagonist.
I mean, that was always kinda the idea for Sareena, it's just I'm happy that's being show up-front now. I kinda find she's way more fascinating this way, with it being understood she's not quite the nice person she looks like on the surface. I think that makes stories with her as a hero way more interesting, especially when you factor in that Eighth Sin is a Lex-Corp-Style evil company. Very excited going forward. ^^
Also, this is the last time I'll have to draw the outside of a car for a while, I think. Very happy for that. ^^
First off, big announcement next week about the future of the comics. It's the same one as'll be going up on WaR the day before and I'll probably just go ahead and post it at the same time, but wanting to make sure everyone sees it so running it in place of an update. Sorry about that but it is very important.
That being said, yeah, pretty happy with this one. The specifics of Sareena's character are something Adam and I have talked about a lot, so good to get to explore her feelings about this whole situation a little more. The next page is also devoted to this subject.
Think Adam pretty well summed it up, honestly, not sure how much I have to offer about this one. I hope everyone enjoys though, and be sure to swing by to see what the future holds next week!
So would say Sareena is more of an anti-hero, also in the second panel she says COO is that right or did you mean CEO?
COO's something different but similar, it means more she's the on-hand overseer of things and has multiple people from the different branches of the company reporting directly reporting to her.
