So, yeah... Y'know how this whole chatper has been one long tribute to Misfile? Wellll... Since Misfile never seems to end (It's been more than ten years and Ash is no closer to his goal) this was Martin's attempt to give "Dan" an ending to the story that he probably deserves. ^^
As such tried to get that sort of "Yeah, this could be the end of the comic" feel to that final image. Through a lot of hardships, Ash finally got his problem fixed and has earned his happily ever after. Also, I made sure the car was in the shots with those two. If you read Misfile, the car is one of the main characters so it's fitting it's in the shot with them.
Also didn't expect the guy from to be so big. The running joke in Misfile is that we the viewer never see what Ash looks like as a guy. Basically I just did a transformation sequence starting with the feminine form and then without knowing where to stop just made every step more and more masculine. Hence the large muscles; didn't mean for this to come out quite so Hulk-ish.
One thing I did intend for is to lose that fluffy hair-bit that hit half his face as a girl. That thing was hard to draw so made sure it was the first thing to go.
Okay, first off - we'll be having seven pieces of filler and to condition people to the new schedule, they'll be going up every Monday and Friday next week. Have recaps of both WaR and BP as well as a storyline done by Abe, and then after that, we'll start the first merged chapter. That chapter will also be uploaded here just to help further condition people and the comic will fully transfer over to Wright as Rayne's site from there. Assuming I don't end up deciding to back out due to not really liking the format or something but that's highly unlikely.
But yeah, obviously this wound up being a failed tribute to Misfile because things actually happened in this chapter. Sorry, cheap shot but I had to take it.
Think Adam pretty well summed it up. Mostly some one-off characters we'll likely never see again walking off into the sunset, but it's kind of a special case plus we still worked some Patriot Initiative in there. They'll be in the next chapter if wondering, though maybe not these two specifically.
Be sure to swing by Monday!
Looks like Dan's ready to propose and that ending line is hilarious.
Heh, glad you enjoy.
