Let's Dance indeed! Take it, Mr. Bowie!
I had that friggin' song in my head the entire time I was drawing this page because of that last line. I can't read it without hearing it in Bowie's voice backed by that catchy riff.
So yeah, this is one reason I loved doing Ozais again. Really got into the dancing body language. Feel like I'm better at drawing that sort of thing now and looking forward to the chance to try out more. Especially love the twirl with Lara and the toe-step after spinning out of the way of the burst. The little flame-path cropping up from his spinning was cool too.
I think the dancing body language being paid more attention from both me and Martin, plus playing up that aspect makes Ozias look way more dangerous. Like, before he was stumbling and awkward, now he looks like he's ready to take the lead and dance 'til his opponents drop into a shallow grave.
Standard post-PPV comment that'll make no sense to readers - man, Sting looked like a goober, huh? Loses clean to a guy who just had a match, lost it, got attacked afterward, and can typically never win a match to save his life. And now we have to deal with Kane. Ugh.
Anyway, yeah, one big move with bringing Ozias back is I wanted to work the dance thing into the whole fight structure much more than before, make him really elegant and hard to connect with. We'll see more of that as the fight gets rolling on.
And then there's the Jake issue. We'll coming back to that later, don't worry, plan to give that some screentime. Pretty much opted to use this as an excuse to have her learn what the deal is with Sareena and Misty so it'll be easier to write her into things more often.
