Ughhhhh, so scatterbrained right now... Either way this page was a lot of fun to do, just hard to comment on right now.
Hazel and Mercy establish themselves here as being fun to draw for me for weird, different reasons I'll get into next page. We can't see it much here but Hazel's also designed to be a bit exaggerated in expressions, so that's always fun....
The expression in the third panel took a lot of doing for me. The script described his expression here as "This has obviously occurred to him too" and was hard to exactly get that across. I dunno, expressions in the comic are one thing I always took pride in so I worked hard to get it right.
Cool getting to see Verbren again; that big, burnt-up doorman. One reason I wanna see more on AME going forward is because I think the guy just looks cool.
Aaaaand yeah, I wrote that discussion in the first panel, so shamelessly used it to talk about what's going on in Blues. "That museum" is something I've wondered about... Given heroes have been around for a while is there a museum on them in Atlanta? I dunno, just seems like there should be, yeah? Maybe it's not QUITE long enough time for that.
Yeah, probably not too surprising we'd cut to Hazel right about now given the way the last chapter ended. Not really had enough build-up to just leave out for a chapter yet like Rin's done on occasion.
Has O'Hara missed any chapter since her debut? Can't really remember if she has or not, though know been less prominent in some than others. Wanting to say she's been in every chapter since her debut.
Either way, yeah. Not sure how much I have to say about this on, kind of more to say about the sequence as a whole. At least hey, we have our Classic Cassie fan!
Guessing this is set the day Marvelous made his debut in Blues then, given Misty didn't know about him the day before when she made the crack about a superhero who can fly. Though then again she'd have kind of been hardpressed to when she spent most of the day fighting a car so it could've happened yesterday.
