Anyone else get an Evangelion vibe when they look at that moon? I know Martin's seen the movie where Giant Nekkid Rei throat-bleeds all over the moon's surface, and the blood-smear is in the Rebuild movies so....
Would be Abe's move if so - I was picturing this as a more forward silhouette taking up most of the page, though do very much like the way it came out.
Not a lot to say on this one, naturally. I try to only have full page shots like this once a chapter if that - usually just for images that kind of need to be burned in - but I realize they can be tedious. Doubt the next chapter will have any, since it is taking longer to play out than expected in the first place so some rushing will be needed at points.
Here are Abe's comments -
I really like this night time scenes, they give me a opportunity to mess with some of the focus features that allows it a more dark and eerie glow. In the old days, a Blood moon was known as a Hunter's moon and it was the first full moon after the harvest moon, which is the full moon nearest to he autumnal equinox (which I discovered on wikipedia). And in this places it seems that moon has sympathy for the one that bears her name. As least symbolically speaking.
